Hey I left for a while! Like… I left a week ago, and got back today. I woulda posted earlier but…
… I’ve just got so many video games to play.
So, I few things I learned while out of town: yes I can actually live without wifi for a week, no I cannot live without video games for a day or else I’ll start talking to myself and I’ll scare my parents, I learned how to tie a fly so I can help my dad who’s losing his sight because he’s OLD but that doesn’t stop him because he’s too cool for letting life slow him down, also the movie “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” should really be renamed MY LIFE because THAT’S WHAT IT IS, and I also learned that my Gamecube memory card is shot and the only game it’ll read data for is Sonic Heroes and I’ve beaten it already.
I also learned that Gyorg is quite possibly one of the scariest bosses I’ve ever fought in a Zelda game. I mean 1) he’s in Majora’s Mask so points already for that, 2) it’s a suicidal fish who slams into you relentlessly, 3) it swims faster than you so there’s really no escape, and 4) it vomits piranhas that encircle you and make it extremely difficult to escape and swim for your life.
Pollen is kind of a bitch too. I mean oh sure it’s fine when you go out and see a little dusting of yellow on your table outside and you think “oh how cute, plant sperm.” But where I was? The ENTIRE TABLE WAS YELLOW. THERE WAS AN INCH THINK LAYER OF POLLEN ON THE TABLE. It was so bad that I ended up getting vertigo from clogged sinuses and vertigo is the worst feeling in the world lemme tell ya…
Also, I said this up above, but my good Gamecube memory card is shot. Yes I still play Gamecube even though its like eight years old. Saying that makes me feel like a dusty old crone, it truly does. I can’t even reformat my good memory card because it’s “too damaged”. So I picked up my old memory card (downsizing from 1024 blocks to 254, total bummer there) and have started playing up a storm.
That “playing up a storm” is why I didn’t tell you guys that I got back nine hours ago. I revisited the original Paper Mario over last week, and beat it with a nice time of 22:34. So then I got home and started playing the sequel, The Thousand Year Door. Already in Glitzville.
But my major gripe about my memory card being “damaged” and “unable to be formatted” is my Sims game for the Gamecube. It took up a lotta blocks, and I had an entire empire built up on that file. And now I can’t access it anymore.
Well, life sucks and then you make do. In the meantime, I’ll practice my fly knots and trounce Rawk Hawk. c:
